Mei Li

Mei Li is NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, also licensed by the State Medical Board of Pennsylvania. She received her M.D. and M.Sc degrees after completing eight years of medical school in China, majoring in traditional Chinese and modern western medicine.

 

Mei practiced as a medical doctor at Department of Acupuncture, Massage and Rehabilitation in one of the largest Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals in China for 15 years.  She successfully treated a very wide range of conditions like pain, hemifacial spasm, stroke, hemiplegia, Parkinson’s disease, seasonal and food allergies, depression, anxiety, insomnia, menstrual issues fertility, weight control, child cerebral palsy, etc. Over the years, she developed refined skills in acupuncture, moxibustion, auricular therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, gua sha, cupping, pediatric tui na, as well as floating needles and other advanced acupuncture techniques.

 

Mei is passionate about helping her patients to achieve optimal health and re-discover their own innate healing abilities and build healthy, sustainable connection with their inner world.

 

As a parent, woman, and human, she considers it a privilege to practice greater empathy and humanity with every individual treatment.

 

During December 2014 – March 2015 Mei worked at Thomas Jefferson university hospital, Rothman hospital and Magee hospital as a visiting scholar. 

Mei is Fluent in English and Chinese.
